Why is everything free? How does DSU stay in business?
- We have always enjoyed trying new software ourselves, once we find software we like, we then buy it. This is the premise DSU was created, members and guests do not have to pay DSU anything, once you find software you like and you purchase it, then DSU gets a small percentage. In addition, we hope that if you like the freeware, you would consider making a donation to the developer, this helps them stay in business and develop further advancements. (DSU does not get any percentage of the donation)

Why isn't there any pop ups and why does DSU strive to scan for Spyware/adware and viruses?
- We had our beginnings in the IT business and it is still today, our main source of income. We have spent years battling spyware, adware, Trojans and viruses. No one hates them more than us. If we create a site, we strive to make sure that we are not part of the internet problem. Even though we try our best to scan our software, we are human and can miss something, if you as a member find any problems, we encourage you to notify us and then we can take the appropriate actions.

Is my purchase secure once I decide to buy?
- In one word, yes. When you download a software for trial, then decide to purchase it, just follow the buy now built into that software. This will direct you to either the manufacturer's secure purchase server or to our fully encrypted server to handle the transaction safely. In addition, no part of the info you supply either here or when purchasing is ever shared with a third party. Your personal information is only used to complete any transaction you have asked for.
